In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at the Associated Press's week, Reuters's week, trees, photojournalism and coaching and A Street Photography Manifesto.

  • The Associated Press showcases its Photos of the Week curated by photo editor Anne Marie Belgrave.
  • Reuters presents 20 of its Photos of the Week from around the world.
  • Dahlia Ambrose finds 21 Photographs of Trees, which she describes as difficult subjects. "Although trees are difficult to photograph, the process of slowing down, waiting for the right light and capturing a compelling shot can be very rewarding," she writes.
  • Heidi Volpe interviews Kriston Jae Bethel about In Photojournalism and Coaching fostering resilience and empathy. "The important part of being a journalist isn't that you exist without personal opinions or feelings, but that you don't let those get in the way of your coverage," Bethel says.
  • Rocky Nook has published A Street Photography Manifesto by Brian Lloyd Duckett. "The book covers everything from gear selection and confidence-building techniques to developing your personal aesthetic and making a name for yourself in the world of street photography," the company said.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
