In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Wimbledon, drones, satellite images of Texas flooding and Chinese solar farms.

  • Sweat, Glory and Butterflies features Guardian photographer Tom Jenkins's best shots of Wimbledon. "The tournament culminated with two new names being engraved on the singles winners' trophies as Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner added the Wimbledon titles to their previous grand slam victories."
  • In Drones of War: UAVs on the Frontlines of Ukraine, Reuters features 19 photos of "the first full-scale drone war in history."
  • NPR documents the Texas Flooding Destruction with before and after satellite images.
  • In The Best Portfolio I Can't Show You, Mike Johnston links to the Alan Taylor's feature on Chinese solar farms, which account for 74 percent of all projects now under construction worldwide.

Over the weekend, the site became unreachable with 500 Internal Server errors. We've reported the problem to Sonic and are awaiting resolution. We are able to upload so we're continuing to publish but nobody can see what we're doing (including this) at the moment. So more to come, as we like to point out. And by then, you can take a look back. And please support our efforts...
