In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at AP's week, Reuters's week, Astronomy Photographer of the Year, Tim Flach, Harold Davis and Phil Davis.
- The Associated Press showcases its Top Photos of the Week curated by photo editor Eloy Martin.
- Reuters presents 20 of its own Photos of the Week from around the world.
- Matt Fidler features the winners and finalists of the Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition.
- Kate Mothes showcases Tim Flach's new book Feline, which "celebrates our unending love for cats of all varieties."
- Harold Davis shot My Prickly Heart, a cactus, with his Leica Monochrom M11 and an orange filter.
- In Great Light Makes Great Pictures, Mike Johnston recalls the "remarkable room" in his home which Phil Davis whose walls he had painted "to enhance the natural light that already existed -- one wall a little more greenish, the opposite one a little more blue, the back wall a little brighter."
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
