In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at AP's top photos this week, Reuters' photos of the week, Faces in the Crowd, Roam Fest, backing up iPhone photos and Patricia Routledge.

- Kate Mothes reviews Faces in the Crowd on exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, which opens on Oct. 11 and runs through July 13, 2026.
- Heidi Volpe talks to participants in a the Roam Fest, Roam Media Core Wrap Up. "What was your biggest personal or creative takeaway?" she asks them.
- Joel Santo Domingo suggests a few strategies for To Back Up Your iPhone Photos, preferring iCloud to attaching an SSD. He notes Google Photos or Microsoft's OneDrive "can be more economical than paying for a new iCloud+ account." We back up shoots to our laptop and our laptop is backed up nightly with Time Machine.
- Greg Whitmore celebrates the life of actress Patricia Routledge, who portrayed the "snooty housewife Hyacinth Bucket and private investigator Hetty Wainthropp" on her passing at age 96.
