In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Paris Fashion Week, Lee Miller, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and the David Malin Astrophotography Awards.
- The Associated Press focuses on the latest styles on display during Paris Fashion Week. Reuters, perhaps more wisely, focused on the Celebrities attending.
- In The Nine Lives of Lee Miller (gift link), Emily LaBarge reviews the new retrospective of Miller's work that just opened at Tate Britain in London. She goes beyond the exhibit to Farleys Farm, the nerve center for Miller’s archive, which contains over 60,000 images and documents that were discovered stashed away in the attic after the artist's death.
- Douglas Zimmerman hit Golden Gate Park to photograph the first day of the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival. Nothing but smiles.
- The Guardian presents winners of the David Malin Astrophotography Awards.
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
