In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Reuters' 40-year celebration, The Gold Mirror, New Delhi Restaurant, extreme macro shots and lost wedding photos.
- Reuters continues its celebration of 40 years of its photojournalism with Part 3: 2006 to 2015 and Part 4: 2016 to 2024.
- Poppy Lynch photographed the two-year remodel of The Gold Mirror, the venerable Taraval St. restaurant reopening today. Unyao Yang took a few more shots of The DiGrande Family's 56-year-old family-owned Italian restaurant.
- Douglas Zimmerman captures the ambiance and food at New Delhi Restaurant, San Francisco's oldest Indian restaurant.
- Dahlia Ambrose presents a few Truly Extreme Macro Shots that are particularly well composed, she notes. "With very tiny macro subjects, unless you are doing extreme macro shots, it is quite difficult to fill the frame most of the time."
- In Rookie Mistake. Lost Wedding Photos a Reddit poster inadvertently overwrote some photos from one camera because the same file name was used in a second camera. They get some good advice about how to prevent that from happening.
