In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Syria, Lando Norris, Jozef Macak, camera nostalgia, an $800 monochrome camera and an eye patch.
- The Associated Press shows how Syrians Celebrate a Year After Bashar Assad's Fall.
- Pejman Faratin reviews the winning season of Formula One world champion Lando Norris.
- Magali Duzant showcases Jozef Macak's photos of Street Life on the Banks of Dhaka's Lively, Polluted River.
- Mike Johnston posted A Little Camera Nostalgia, revealing his own and asking for readers what was "the camera you're happiest you bought and which is the camera you most regret buying." This morning he's added 57 responses from his readers.
- Nilofer Khan looks at Malcolm Jay's $800 DIY Monochrome Camera powered by a Raspberry Pi 5.
- A Reddit poster is Considering an Eye Patch -- Am I Crazy? The problem is shooting rugby games when "my left eye gets really fatigued being squeezed shut for 80 minutes. It's worse in bright sun." Unanimous advice avoids the eye patch.
