In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at an overnight Russian attack, FotoReportage Award, Katherine Wolkoff, photography in 2046 and faces of elimination.
- The Associated Press documents the Large-Scale Russian Attack Overnight in Kyiv "that killed many people and injured scores as loud explosions shook Kyiv for hours."
- Sarah Gilbert showcases the winner and shortlisted works of the FotoReportage Award. Johanna Alarcón won the prize given annually to female photographers addressing social issues with a focus on positivity.
- Kate Mothes looks at Katherine Wolkoff's photos of Deer Beds. "Wolkoff prints the images at nearly life size, focusing directly on the nest-like spaces in intimate, horizonless meditations on comfort, presence, care and resilience," she writes.
