In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at World Cup stars, lightning in New York City, Nitecore BB and a giant print.
- In Tunnel Vision, Jonny Weeks presesnts images of the World Cup stars as they prepare to take to the pitch.
- Seth Wenig caught a Blast of Lightning among the July 4 fireworks in New York City. "=While I continued to shoot fireworks with a handheld camera, this photo was made with a second camera mounted on a tripod that covered the whole skyline and was firing every second, with a slower shutter speed, 1/3 second, to try to catch the lightning," he says.
- Feroz Khan tests the $30 Nitecore BB blower/vacuum. "=This tiny little gadget makes cleaning your cameras, lenses and even sensors so much quicker and convenient, that we're marking it as a must-have accessory for any photographer who's serious about their work," he writes.
- A Reddit poster Needs a Giant Print, about 72x48 inches on canvas. Commenters suggest a few shops and one even explains why you want to reduce the resolution (150 dpi) for a large print.
