In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at inflatable dinosaurs, Earth Photo awards, LUTs and inkjet printing.

- In Pardon My LUTs, Derrick Story insists, "Film simulations, photo styles and LUTs aren't gimmicks. They are artistic tools to help photographers better match the mood of their images to the subject material they are capturing." He demonstrates with some images from Oracle Park he took of his family over the weekend.
- Jim Kasson tackles How Inkjet Printing Works and Why You Should Care. The tasks is "to fool your visual system into seeing continuous tones where only binary dots exist." Stochastic printing is how modern inkjets improve on traditional halftone printing.
