Tamron has announced its 12-20mm f2.8 fast-aperture ultra wide-angle zoom lens for Sony E-mount and Nikon Z mount full-frame mirrorless cameras.
The breadth of the 12mm perspective lets nothing escape from the scene while the bright f2.8 aperture, which is maintained throughout the entire zoom range, can handle the low-light conditions of astrophotography and interior shooting.
The optical system incorporates an eXpanded Glass Molded Aspherical lens element, three Glass Molded Aspherical lens elements and multiple special lens elements. The design suppresses peripheral blurring and color fringing while correcting sagittal coma flare, a common challenge in astrophotography, ensuring sharpness from the center to the edges of the frame.

The optical system incorporates an XGM (eXpanded Glass Molded Aspherical) lens element, three GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements and multiple special lens elements.
