In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at AP's week, Reuters' week, wildlife's week, the Abbey Road Music Photography awards, camera evolution and shooting a wedding.
- The Associated Press showcases its Top Photos of the Week curated by photo editor Anita Baca.
- Reuters presents 18 Photos of the Week from around the world.
- Joanna Ruck marks the Week in Wildlife with images of a tiny tiger-cat, backyard bears and a frilly pink sea cucumber.
- Ben Beaumont-Thomas and Matt Fidler present a selection of the winners and finalists from the Abbey Road Music Photography Awards. There were 24,500 images submitted fro 42 countries.
- Mike Johnston lists Five Ways I Wish Cameras Had Evolved Differently.
- A Reddit poster confesses, So I Shot a Wedding as an Amateur ... In the lengthy post, they cover experience, gear and expectations. "Since the wedding I had to cull down around 2000 shots down to like 200 or so (100 candids, 50 posed couple portraits and 50 or so group pictures of different variations) and am slowly making my way through post processing while keeping in mind that I don't want to be delivering them months after the fact," they add.
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
