As we walked out of her room at Golden Heights to go home for lunch today, she said she was nervous. She felt like she was going to fall.

I was a little nervous too. About the threshold at the house.
She did get up the front stairs all right using her left hand on the handrail and holding her trekking pole in her right. At the top she took a moment to collect herself.
Getting over the threshold is a problem because 1) I can't get to her left side to hold that hand and grab the belt in the back and 2) her left foot can get trapped under the overhang of the threshold so she can't lift it over.
And she'll grab at anything (like the swinging front door) for stability.
When her foot got trapped, I told her to stop and back up. She took another lunge at it and got over the threshold. And into the house where she was able to resume walking.
I think I may ask for a platform at the gym so she can practice the threshold move.
Once at the table, she ate more than she typically does.
She didn't want a salad, so I started her with a Greek yogurt with blueberries. She at the whole tub of it. Then she had the clam chowder I warmed up. A full bowl. And after she finished the high protein Boost I got from Golden Heights, I gave her a scoop of Talenti's Sea Salt Caramel. She topped that off with an espresso.
We listened to Tony Bennet's original Duets album with Smile (Barbra Streisand) and Put On a Happy Face (James Taylor) setting the mood. But there's hardly a title on that album that didn't ring a bell, particularly the last, a favorite of ours: How Do You Keep the Music Playing? (George Michael).
I snapped a photo of her. "You got me laughing!" she laughed. But she approved. "I love it here," she said.
She made it down the stairs like she's been doing it for 20 years.
She walked to her room from the car and for the second day I put skin cream on her feet in preparations for her visit with the podiatrist tomorrow afternoon.
