Both Hands

The last time Joyce played the piano with both hands was in March. Since then, she's only been playing with her right hand.
But today was different. She walked down the long hallway and halfway across the short one to the scale. She climbed on the scale for her daily reading (which has been the same 106 lbs. for a while now). And then she sat in her wheelchair.
I rolled her into the Pacific room and put her iPad on the piano and she played the same two pieces she's been playing, one Beethoven and one Bach. One handed.
Then she went back to the Beethoven and played it with both hands.
It's been a while since she's played because the room was locked when there was a Covid outbreak to prevent spreading the infection. And then there were a few parties in there. But lately it's been empty.
So I brought the iPad and she played for 15 minutes.
She wasn't too pleased with her performance. But it made my day.
