Today Joyce had her first physical therapy session after her hospitalization. Her infection reset the counters for occupational and physical therapy, as well as room and board.

I took care of occupational therapy. I took her down to the Pacific room to write some checks.
Then we went to the gym where Cassie asked her if she liked to play darts. She does, she told her. So Cassie got some magnetic darts and they went at it.
It's a way to improve Joyce's balance. Cassie got her out of her wheelchair with a walker a few steps in front of Joyce who was wear a physical therapy belt that Cassie held onto so Joyce wouldn't fall if she lost her balance.
But concentrating on the target, Joyce didn't lose her balance. In fact, she nearly hit a bullseye.
Tomorrow Cassie said she'd turn the target over and they'll throw balls that stick to the target. Joyce thought that would be fun.
She had lunch after that and brushed her teeth and read a little of the Lydia Davis books of very short stories I had brought her a long time ago.
And I went off to drop her checks off at the Post Office.
