Joyce was all smiles today -- even before the 49ers beat the Eagles in Philadelphia.
She didn't eat much at lunch when I visited but she did drink her supplement. And the nurses continued her antibiotics to make sure nothing interferes with her wound healing.
We had a short visit from Erica, who is seeing about discharge already.
I let her know it was a bit premature to discuss the matter but I also told her she came from a skilled nursing facility and would return to Golden Heights, where they promised to hold her room for seven days. That reassured her and she hurried away.
I did route a extension cord from the wall outlet to her her tray, attaching the charger to it so she can easily reach the phone. And I texted her a photo of the sunset with a crab boat on the ocean (finally) to confirm she can respond to phone calls and texts now.
Otherwise it was a quiet afternoon in Room 4321.
