In this recurring column, we'll highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters).
You can point us to others we might have missed with the Feedback button below, too.
- Lemkesoft has released its $39.95 GraphicConverter 8.5.3 [M] with an option to geotag in map view, a map view search field, an option to clear recent files and browsers lists when quitting, batch support for image catalog creation and more.
- Akvis has released its $39 Refocus 3.0 [MW] with new Tilt-Shift and Iris Blur modes, Image View modes, improved Raw file processing and more. AKVIS Refocus is priced starting at $39 for Mac OS X 10.4 through 10.8 or Windows XP and up.
- Hamrick Software has released VueScan 9.2.06 [LMW] with an
Input | Auto flip
option for scanning books, "+" in file name increments only with a digit before it, fix for not displaying printer selection dialog and a fix for some Xerox DocuMate scanners.- And later today, we'll update our Archive with the February links. Think of it as a monthly magazine you get to peek at every day. Although if it were a monthly magazine with some 40 stories this (short) month, it would be the size of a phone book.
Legend, BTW: [L] Linux, [M] Mac and [W] Windows versions available.
More to come...
