DxO Updates ViewPoint For Photoshop CC, Lightroom 5 Compatibility

DxO Labs has updated ViewPoint, its distortion correction application, for plug-in compatibility with Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5. We reviewed ViewPoint in May, comparing it to Lightroom 5's new distortion controls.
DxO told us the revision is really "just a story of the installer having to be changed to configure and allow usage with CC and LR5." As we previously reported, Adobe removed the option in Photoshop's preferences that pointed to an Additional Plug-Ins Folder. The company suggests users simply reinstall their plug-ins for Photoshop CC.
This release makes that possible for ViewPoint.
Through July 31, ViewPoint is available at a discounted price of $49 from the regular $79. Discounts apply to the entire line of DxO Lab products through July, in fact.

Used as a plug-in, DxO ViewPoint v1.2.1 integrates perfectly with Adobe Photoshop CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6 and CC, as well as with Lightroom 3, 4 and 5. The software allows photographers to preserve their usual work environment and habits while enhancing their Adobe solution. Among other things, DxO ViewPoint v1.2.'s ability to save correction settings provides an extremely smooth workflow: users can save their settings to re-use the same corrections in just one click, even after backtracking and changing their image in the host application.
As a standalone application, DxO ViewPoint v1.2.1 lets users directly apply their corrections to their photos in just a few clicks.
