Adorama Introduces Flashpoint Folding Bracket

Adorama has expanded its house-brand Flashpoint flash bracket collection with the $15.95 Flashpoint Folding Bracket, which can be attached to either side of a camera or camcorder and folds flat for storage.
The new flash bracket joins an extensive but inexpensive lineup of Flashpoint brackets. They include:
- Camera Cage Bracket with Many Shoes featuring nine slots for shoe mounts and multiple threaded holes to mount microphones, remotes lights and more. $64
- Flash Bracket Quick Flip With Removable Shoe features high value, compact size, light weight and fast handling for dSLRs. $19

While it's refreshing to see versatile (and affordable) accessories like the Flashpoint brackets, there's one feature missing in the group that we really like.
It's a removable pistol grip. You can see a photo of the one we've used since the 1980s in our On Assignment: The Party story.
You can use it one-handed like the lighter Flashpoint brackets but by removing it from the bracket, the grip lets you position the light anywhere. That even beats a quick-flip design in our book. It does help, we have to add, to have an autofocus lens when shooting two-handed.
