In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at GraphicConverter, the Fujifilm X100S, file organization and a FilmPack webinar.

  • Lemke Software has released GraphicConverter 9.0.1 [M] with non-destructive editing with the new Cocooner, undo in the browser, support for Maverick's App Nap and Multiple Screens, display of Photostream in browser, an improved histogram and more. GraphicConverter is also on sale for $25.95 through the end of the year.
  • The Sartorialist Scott Schuman has succumbed to a Fujifilm X100S. "I love that it is so lightweight, fast and that the focus issues of the X-Pro1 have been resolved," he enthuses.
  • In How Mac experts organize their files, Lex Friedman gets John Siracusa, Katie Floyd, Federico Viticci and Casey Liss to divulge their secrets. Nobody likes Spotlight but they all have a Finder scheme.
  • On Thursday DxO is hosting a FilmPack Webinar with fashion photographer Frank Doorhof. Choose one of two 60-minute sessions conducted by Hector Martinez to watch how Doorhof works with DxO FilmPack to give his images a unique style.

More to come...
