X-Rite has announced two free webinars scheduled this month, each covering new ground. The first, presented by Joe Brady, will discuss getting great color from your lab. Jane Conner-Ziser will present the second webinar covering how to conceptualize an image, refine it and select the best image for competition.

Nations Photo Lab is co-sponsoring the first webinar and Wacom the second.

Both webinars are free but require registration. Details are in the news release below.

Online educational tutorials with live trainers provide photographers with basic information, insights and tips to achieve color control, consistency and creativity in their digital imaging workflow

NORTH WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- X-Rite Photo Marketing has announced its schedule of free February 2014 webinars that have been developed to address specific photography and color management topics and are designed to appeal to both professional and serious amateur photographers.

During the month of February, X-Rite is offering two free webinars to help photographers gain new confidence and to learn quick, easy and powerful ways to enhance their photography and manage their imaging workflow. The February webinars are designed to be informational as well as inspirational by offering photographers practical ways to improve their images. Webinar attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the live trainers.

"The February X-Rite webinar schedule features two sessions, one of which is hosted by photographer and photo-educator Joe Brady and the second hosted by X-Rite Coloratti and Award-winning photographer and retoucher Jane Conner-Ziser," said Joshua Fischer, Product Marketing Manager, X-Rite Photo Marketing. Webinar host Joe Brady will explain and demonstrate to attendees how, with a little bit of hardware and easy-to-use software, they can save both time and money while ensuring that Lab prints will match the photographer's monitor.

Award-winning photographer/retoucher and X-Rite Coloratti Jane Conner-Ziser will share her creative experience and broad professional knowledge, which allows her to take an image from camera concept through post-production work in Photoshop. Attendees will learn how top photographers conceptualize their images, refine them during the photography session and select the best image for competition.

Additionally, Jane will discuss cropping and adjusting an image for the best composition plus retouching, enhancing and presenting an image for maximum impact. Webinar attendees interested in applying what they learn on their own images will hear about common judging criteria and how to avoid common mistakes that many photographers make when choosing images for exhibition or competition.
