MindShift Gear has released the Filter Hive, a small case designed for quick access to round, square and rectangular camera lens filters, and the Ultralight Camera Cover, a light, compact cover for outdoor photography.

FILTER HIVE

The $54.99 Filter Hive fits in a bag or can be worn on a belt and holds up to six 4x6 filters and six round filters up to 82mm in diameter.

"Since the days of film, outdoor photographers have used filters to adjust a gradient over their image to compensate for a bright sky or sunset," said MindShift Gear's founder and president Doug Murdoch. "With the Filter Hive not only do they have quick access to the right filter, its removable interior makes for easy cleaning and compact travel."

ULTRALIGHT

Available in three sizes and Black and Tahoe Blue, the Ultralight Camera Cover is a "skin-style" pouch designed for a dSLR with a small to medium lens. It comes in three sizes with prices ranging from $29.99 to $39.99.

You put on the belt that is built into the pouch. Then, with the camera on its shoulder strap around your neck, you put the camera in the pouch and slip the adjustable flap closed, stretching the shock cord over the lens inside the pouch to secure it.

The short video demonstrates both how to use it and what each size will hold:

MindShift Gear Releases the Lightest, Most Compact Camera Cover, the UltraLight Camera Cover

SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- MindShift Gear has released the lightest, most compact camera cover for outdoor photography, the UltraLight Camera Cover, available in three sizes and two colors, Black and Tahoe Blue. This "skin-style" camera pouch/cover is designed for outdoor, nature and action photographers who wear a normal or pro dSLR camera with small to medium lens out on their chest, ready to shoot. Its adjustable shock-cord on lid allows the cover to fit multiple camera and lens combinations.

"The UltraLight Camera Cover's flexibility makes it desirable for backpackers, hikers or anyone carrying their camera for long periods who need quick access," said MindShift Gear's founder and president Doug Murdoch. "It is a super lightweight cover that offers protection against scratches, dust, moisture and debris while stabilizing the camera on the chest, waist or over the shoulder. It is ultra-compressible for easy stowing and its integrated belt supports the camera around the photographer's waist."

The UltraLight Camera Cover comes in three sizes:

UltraLight Camera Cover 10: Fits a small dSLR (Canon Rebel or Nikon 5200 series) with kit lens or short zoom (up to a 18-55mm f3.5-f5.6, 24-105mm f4 or 24-85mm f2.8-4)OR fits standard-size dSLR (Canon 5DMIII or Nikon D800 series) with prime lens or short zoom (up to a 85mm f1.2, 24-105mm f4 or 24-85mm f2.8-4)

It doesn't block the view of their feet like a bulky camera case. It also fits under any backpack. It features a weather-resistant flap cover and lightly padded front, bottom and rear panels. It accommodates lenses facing out or facing down depending on the photographer's carrying preference.

MATERIALS

For superior water-resistance, its all exterior fabric has a durable water resistant coating while the fabric's underside is coated with polyurethane. It uses 100D rip-stop nylon, 210D velocity nylon, nylon webbing, 3-ply bonded nylon thread.
