In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at the Gulf Photo Plus 2014 Shootout, Handy Photo, simultaneously shooting stills/video and truck-sized prints.
- David Hobby's Gulf Photo Plus 2014 Shootout Video is Live pits Sara Lando against Zack Arias. Each gets 20 minutes to contrive an image that uses water. Great fun with two (a least) good sports. Sara blogged about it right after, too.
- Derrick Story raves about Handy Photo for iPad Image Editing, a $1.99 photo app that "is chock-full of powerful tools, is easy to use, and sports an attractive user interface."
- In For Me Shooting Still Images And Motion Simultaneously Changes Everything, Scott Pommier says "having your still camera wrapped up in a movie camera creates some difficulties" before detailing them.
