Ambient Design has updated ArtRage, its $50 realistic art software [MW], with 64-bit support to handle larger canvases at faster speeds, customizable canvas grid overlays and tilt input support from your stylus.

The free update for registered users of v4 also improves a number of other features, including font picking and support for multi-touch gestures on OS X.

"I can definitely say that I've felt the benefit of improved speed and have found the ability to drag items around in the toolbox to reorganize at will very useful," illustrator Nick Harris said. "I've found it particularly handy for tinkering with sets of color samples, when you need to add a new color and want it to fit in."
