DNP Updates Hot Folder Utility For Dye Subs

DNP Imagingcomm America has updated its Hot Folder Print Utility to version 2.0 with the ability to manage up to six of its dye sublimation printers at once for high volume events, detailed real-time status for all connected printers and a high resolution (300x600 dpi) print mode.
More comprehensive reporting helps schedule maintenance between jobs while a new user interface and dashboard highlight printer status as well as error and warning conditions. The new user interface also enables print size and order selection as well as easy changes to color profiles and other configuration settings.
The updated Windows-only utility will be included in all DNP printers with shipments starting Sept. 30 and is available immediately for download as a 20.3-MB file.

CONCORD, N.C. -- DNP Imagingcomm America has announced immediate availability of its Hot Folder Print Utility Version 2.0. HFP 2.0 incorporates improvements that enhance printer functionality to increase workflow productivity for event photographers.
As an intuitive, standalone print application, DNP's Hot Folder Print Utility is an easy-to-use utility that enables printing on DNP's dye-sublimation printers. Improvements in Version 2.0 include the ability to manage up to six printers at once for high volume events, detailed real-time status for all connected printers and a high resolution (300x600 dpi) print mode.
HFP Version 2.0 was designed to meet some of the biggest challenges event photographers face on a daily basis. The more comprehensive reporting functionality enables better planning for maintenance between jobs while a new user interface and dashboard highlights printer status as well as error and warning conditions to minimize downtime. The new user interface also allows for print size and order selection as well as easy changes to color profiles and other configuration settings.

- Expanded language support (English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Canadian French);
- Custom media thresholds;
- Ability to switch between "drag and drop" and "image import" printing modes;
- Enhanced color settings.
Hot Folder Print Utility Version 2.0 will be included in all DNP printers with shipments starting Sept. 30.
