In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at the disappearance of the Camera Roll, Alex Garcia's ebook, iOS 8's time-lapse feature and a spider inside a lens.
- In iPhone Users Are Freaking Out After Apple Removed 'Camera Roll' And Made It Harder To Delete Photos, James Cook writes, "The removal of Camera Roll means that it's now impossible to tell which of your photos are stored on iCloud and which are not."
- Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Alex Garcia has released a few sample pages from his $4.99 ebook titled Depth of Field: Tips on Photojournalism and Creativity.
- In How Does the iOS 8 Time-lapse Feature Work?, Dan Provost dsicovers the simple secret. And concludes, "The result of this method is that anything you shoot will generally end up being between 20 and 40 seconds long, an ideal shareable length."
- Roger Cicala inspects a Canon 135mm f2 L lens with "a large dust chunk and the internal elements are scratched" only to find a spider and its web.
Thanks to Aaron for a couple of those. More to come...
