In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at a documentary on the creative process, DateStamper for iOS 8, the Nissin i40 strobe and the Rochester Cloak.
- Art, Just Another Canvas is a Kickstarter project for a documentary film that will "feature gallery owners, documentary photographers; telling in-depth stories that examine their favorite artist, while pointing out some of the common struggles, challenges, and triumphs that draws them into the artists work."
- Federico Viticci reviews the free DateStamper for iOS 8 by Jordan Hipwell. It adds a date in the corner of your photo but, unlike those old imprints, the date can be removed. The free version handles 20 photos at a time. Pay 99 cents to handle more.
- Derrick Story discusses the $269 Nissin i40 Flash designed specifically to balance atop Micro Four Thirds cameras.
- The University of Rochester has developed the Rochester Cloak, a four lens system you can build at home that sees around objects, effectively "cloaking" them.
