In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Apple's iCloud Photo Library, Ming Thein's Ultraprints, a Photo Book deal and Panasonic's two-year warranty deal starting Sunday.

  • In Apple's iCloud Photo Library: A Quick How-To Guide, Katherine Boehret explains the difference between iCloud Photo Storage (still in beta) and My Photo Stream. The first 5-GB on iCloud are free and 20-GB is 99 cents a month.
  • Ming Thein discusses his high definition Ultraprint with Lloyd Chambers. The prints are an attempt to bring "the experience of being there to the viewer in the form of a print."
  • When you order duplicate Photo Books from Tinybeans by Dec. 12, every duplicate book in the same delivery will be 50 percent off. Use the code TINYHOLIDAYS at checkout.
  • Panasonic will be giving an extended two-year limited warranty on select Panasonic Lumix G-series cameras and lenses, purchased between Nov. 23 and Dec. 27.

More to come...
