HIGHLIGHTS

PARIS, France -- DxO has announced the immediate availability of DxO OpticsPro v10.1, the latest update to its image-processing software of reference for all demanding photographers. DxO OpticsPro v10.1 is now compatible with Lightroom and other third-party software's star ranking systems, has improved the speed at which it displays its visual presets in Windows and has enriched its DxO FilmPack and DxO ViewPoint plug-ins.
This update also allows DxO OpticsPro 10 to support the Canon EOS 7D Mark II and PowerShot G7 X, the GoPro HERO4 Black Edition, the Panasonic Lumix DMC- ZS40 and the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Its many controls allow photographers to adapt the processing to their own tastes so as to bring out the best in their photos in just a few clicks.
DxO OpticsPro v10.1 is available in two editions, Essential and Elite, for Mac and PC starting at $99/£79/€99 through Dec. 25.
Extended compatibility with XMP standard
DxO OpticsPro 10 provides a non-destructive workflow that is totally integrated with Lightroom. Very simple, the process transfers Raw and DNG images from the Lightroom library to DxO OpticsPro for processing and then returns them to Lightroom in DNG linear format. In addition, extended compatibility with the XMP standard allows users to preserve their star rankings during transfer.
DxO OpticsPro v10.1 further extends its compatibility, in that the stars assigned in Lightroom and in other third-party software are automatically read in the Exif or XMP data. Similarly the ranking assigned in DxO OpticsPro is written in the output files so other programs can read the stars.
Improved display of visual presets
Having already improved with version 10 the speed of its launch by 1.5x and its loading of files by 10x for Mac and Windows, DxO OpticsPro v10.1 has further increased the speed of its display of visual presets in Windows -- up to three times faster, with a smoother passage from image to image.
DxO OpticsPro 10's visual presets let photographers automatically apply settings that are adapted to numerous uses cases -- Portrait, Landscape, Black & White and Single-shot HDR. Easy to access, they can be directly previewed as thumbnails prior to being applied, thus facilitating the user's choice.
Improved tools for DxO FilmPack and DxO ViewPoint plug-ins
As a plug-in for DxO OpticsPro, DxO FilmPack lets photographers directly apply to their Raw images many analog film renderings as well as various graphic and visual effects. DxO OpticsPro v10.1 now gives access to Designer presets, which are creative photo styles carefully developed by DxO to give photos a unique look. These presets can be found in the presets window in two additional categories (color and black & white).
The DxO ViewPoint perspective palette has likewise been improved for the Mac version: it is now possible to move lines just by clicking, rather than having to move the anchor points.
