Once again, we're celebrating the holiday today with this image from 2006 of the Martin Luther King Memorial in Yerba Buena Center.
The (barely visible) quote in gold type engraved on the wall in the back is from a speech he gave here in 1956:
I believe that the day will come when all God's children from bass black to treble white will be significant on the constitution's keyboard.
The events of the past few months do make us wonder if we're any closer to that day this year than we were last.
