Amazon has announced two unlimited cloud storage plans on its Cloud Drive with a flat annual fee and three-month free trial. The $11.99/year plan allows storage of "an infinite number of photos in Cloud Drive" while the $59.99/year plan allows storage of "an infinite number of new and existing photos, videos, files, documents, movies and music in Cloud Drive."

Josh Petersen, director of Amazon Cloud Drive, said, "With the two new plans we are introducing today, customers don't need to worry about storage space. They now have an affordable, secure solution to store unlimited amounts of photos, videos, movies, music and files in one convenient place."

The free trial for both plans is available today from the Amazon Cloud Drive page. Existing Cloud Drive customers only need to log into their Cloud Drive accounts.

Amazon Cloud Drive Launches Unlimited Cloud Storage

Customers can choose between two convenient and affordable storage plans -- Unlimited Everything or Unlimited Photos -- and rest easy knowing their content is safe and accessible

Free three-month trial available for customers to experience unlimited cloud storage of photos, videos, movies, music and files

SEATTLE -- Amazon has announced unlimited cloud storage with Amazon Cloud Drive -- two new storage plans for customers to securely store their existing content collections and automatically upload endless amounts of new content, including photos, videos, movies, music and files. With the unlimited plans, customers no longer need to worry about how much storage is needed to keep their content safe and secure -- they can choose either the Unlimited Photos Plan or Unlimited Everything Plan and only pay one flat fee per year. A free three-month trial is available for customers to try either plan:

  • Unlimited Photos Plan: Free three-month trial, then $11.99 per year (equivalent of less than $1 per month) to store an infinite number of photos in Cloud Drive without worrying about taking up space on phones, cameras or other devices. Customers can upload existing collections and store all future photos taken. This plan also includes 5-GB of additional storage for videos or other documents and files.
  • Unlimited Everything Plan: Free three-month trial, then $59.99 per year (equivalent of less than $5 per month) to store an infinite number of new and existing photos, videos, files, documents, movies and music in Cloud Drive.

Beginning today, customers can start experiencing unlimited cloud storage for free with a three-month trial on either plan. Prime members and Fire device owners who already enjoy unlimited photo storage can choose to sign up for the Unlimited Everything Plan to store videos and files in addition to photos. Existing Cloud Drive customers can change their plans now by simply logging into their Cloud Drive accounts.
