In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Sebastian Beck, Manfrotto KLYP+, wedding photographers and Pier 24 Photography.

  • Munich photographer Sebastian Beck discusses his Sicilian Diary on the Leica blog. He's used an M9 for four years because "you have to become familiar with your camera and your lenses."
  • Rob Dunsford reviews the Manfrotto KLYP+ case, lenses, tripod and LED light for the iPhone. The case cleverly houses the entire system, including macro, wide-angle and telephoto lens converters.
  • Expertise.com has published Six Pointers for Picking the Perfect Wedding Photographer to "help wedding photographers clearly explain and showcase the value that they can bring."
  • Pier 24 Photography under the Bay Bridge in San Francisco has launched a new Web site to showcase its exhibitions, publications, programs and collection. SecondHand, its current exhibition, ends in two weeks. Appointments required.
