In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Sony PZ 28-135mm f4 zoom lens, the Olympus SH-2, setting text in a photo book and José-Luis Sáez.
- Michael Reichmann reviews the Sony PZ 28-135mm f4 as "the cine lens for Sony A7 series camera owners and especially for owners of the 4K-capable A7s and the upcoming A7RII." It's the world's only interchangeable 35mm full-frame power zoom, too.
- In Revisiting the Olympus SH-2 Compact Camera, Derrick Story finds the $349 24x zoom "a good value for nimble travelers."
- Julieanne Kost, who has been covering Lightroom photo book production lately, simplifies Setting Text Over a Background Image. It's tricky:
- Kate Wesson interviews José-Luis Sáez, the prize-winning iPhone photographer. He uses the native Camera app and two others plus Snapseed and Filterstorm.
Incidentally, Sigma has priced its 24-35mm Art lens at $999 and we've updated our story to include sponsored links. More to come...
