30 July 2015

Adobe has released Lightroom CC 2015.1.1, Lightroom 6.1.1 and Camera Raw 9.1.1 today. This is the last Camera Raw update that will be available for Photoshop CS6, the company previously announced.

LIGHTROOM

A Lightroom Journal blog entry announced the release of Lightroom CC 2015.1.1 and 6.1.1. The update provides "additional camera raw support, lens profile support and address bugs that were introduced in previous releases of Lightroom," according to the post.

New camera support includes the Canon PowerShot G3 X, Casio EX-100F/EX-ZR3000, Leica Q (Typ 116), Olympus AIR-A01, Panasonic Lumix GX8/FZ300/FZ330, Pentax K-3 II, Phase One IQ3 50MP/60MP/80MP, Ricoh GR II and Sony A7R II (ILCE-7RM2)/RX10M2/RX100M4.

Lens profiles have been added for Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Samsung, Sigma and Sony mounts for Lensbaby Velvet, Sigma, ZY Optics and Zeiss Batis lenses.

CAMERA RAW

A separateLightroom Journal blog entry announced the release of Camera Raw 9.1.1 with the same new camera support and additional lens profiles as the Lightroom update.

The post noted two limitations specific to the Pentax K-3 II:

  • Pixel shift Resolution mode was added in this release. Use a tripod and the two-second timer mode to minimize motion artifacts when in PSR mode.
  • Images created with the In-camera HDR mode are not supported in ACR and Lightroom. If you wish to shoot multi-capture HDR in Raw mode, shoot separate files and merge to HDR using ACR/Lr's Merge feature.

AVAILABILITY

For the Lightroom update, Adobe recommends using the Help > Check for Updates menu item or the Creative Cloud application.

For Camera Raw 9, the company recommends using the update mechanism in Photoshop CS6 and the Creative Cloud app.
