Acronis has launched its True Image Cloud and Acronis True Image 2016, the latest versions of its backup solution for consumers and home office users.

Touting an easy and intuitive user experience combined with advanced backup technology, the Acronis solution provides data protection for photos, videos and personal information as well as applications and entire systems.

Serguei Beloussov Co-Founder and CEO at Acronis, added, "It's the only solution on the market that gives users complete freedom to protect their data anywhere -- in the cloud, locally or a mix of both -- on any device."

Cloud-based solutions run from $99.99 for one computer and five devices to $199.99 for five computers and 15 devices. Local backup solutions with True Image 2016 run from $49.99 for one computer to $129.99 for five computers.


Along with the new offerings, Acronis has published the findings of a consumer data behavior study which reveals how crucial a backup system is today. Among the findings are:

  • Consumers rely on more than five devices per household: 28.5 percent have more than 5; 10.5 percent have more than 10.
  • Respondents claim they have over 500-GB of data to protect.
  • The greatest fear of data loss is of personal pictures and videos.
  • 1 out of 5 respondents estimates their data is worth more than $5,000.
