Nikon Delays 24-70mm Nikkor Until October

Nikon Japan has issued a notice announcing the company will delay shipping its new AF-S 24-70mm f2.8E ED VR Nikkor until October.
In the original announcement on Aug. 4, the company had said it would ship the lens later this month. A rough translation of the explanation in yesterday's notice follows:
However, final changes before the launch require more time to meet the customer's expectations, so we are now postponing the release date from the original of August 27.
