In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Venice in the fog, Lightroom for the Web, Google's Cardboard Camera app and a chance to ask copyright questions.
- Fog is no problem for Harold Davis. In fact, it separates the photographers from the selfie sticks. In Photographing the Bridge of Sighs at Night, he captures the deserted landmark glowing in the fog at night. And in San Giorgio Boat Harbor in Sepia he doesn't mind a little subject movement either. Gorgeous stuff.
- Julieanne Kost covers the under-reported features (like non-destructive editing) of Lightroom for the Web in this short video:
- Google's John Nack notes the company's new Cardboard Camera app "captures sound and depth that you can see and hear in virtual reality."
- Photo Attorney Carolyn Wright notes that the Copyright Alliance has asked Robe Kasunic, the Director of Registration Policy and Practices at the U.S. Copyright Office, to respond to copyright registration questions submitted to Cecile Remington by Dec. 8. Answers will be posted on the Copyright Alliance site.
