Boinx Release PhotoWall+ For Apple TV Share This on LinkedIn   Share This on Google   Tweet This   Forward This

7 December 2015

Boinx Software has announced the release of PhotoWall+ for tvOS with PhotoWall+ Camera, a companion iOS app, using the capabilities of the new Apple TV App Store to feed pictures taken with the iOS app directly to a monitor connected to an Apple TV 4.

"When Apple announced the new Apple TV would have third party apps, we got very excited," said Oliver Breidenbach, CEO of Boinx Software. "This new platform is ideal for a photo wall app and we already had a blueprint to work from. Because tvOS is very similar to iOS, it was not too hard to take what we had developed for PartySnapper and derive the new PhotoWall+ app from it."

To use PhotoWall+ event organizers set up PhotoWall+ to host, display and collect incoming photos. Participants who have downloaded PhotoWall+ Camera for free can contribute to the display.

Boinx said PhotoWall+ will be available on Dec. 8 for $4.99 -- but for 48 hours only (until Dec. 10), it will be available at the intro price of just $0.99. PhotoWall+ Camera is available as a free download on the AppStore.
