In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at using Apple TV with your photos, an art buyer scam, shooting a familiar location and Tumblr's support for Live Photos.
- Christian Zibreg explains How to set up Apple TV screensaver with photos from your computer. Includes a handy trick for waking the host computer from sleep when necessary, too.
- In Don't Get Spammed, Roberta Olenick "got an email from someone wanting prints of two of my images. Turns out it was a scam that has been going on for some years now according to stopartscams.blogspot.ca."
- In Photoessay-challenge: A single location, revisited, Ming Thein returns to the KL Tower in Kuala Lumpur "to try and make something different."
- Jacob Kastrenakes details Tumblr's support for Live Photos. "Tumblr's iOS app now allows iPhone 6S users to add Live Photos to their posts," he writes, "just as though they were adding any other photo. When someone on an iPhone comes across it in their feed, they'll see the Live Photo icon in the corner, letting them know it can animate."
More to come! Meanwhile, please support our efforts...
