In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at the most rented gear of 2015, Inklet, curating a portfolio and savings on Sigma lenses.

  • The LensRentals staff has put together a list of The Best and Most Rented New Photography Gear of 2015 from the "over 100,000 pieces of gear that are rented out regularly." Includes staff favorites, too.
  • Ten One Design's Inklet "allows your trackpad to emulate a pen tablet. With a Pogo or a Force Touch trackpad, Inklet even becomes pressure sensitive," according to the company. At the moment, the app is discounted to $18.71 or $26.18 with a Pogo pen.
  • In The Portfolio, Ming Thein suggests portfolios are "living, evolving collections." And explains how he curates his own portfolio and specific ones for clients.
  • Adorama lists some significant savings on Sigma lenses, including the 150-600mm f5.6.3 Sport and Contemporary zooms and the 50mm f1.4 Art lens. Not all mounts are in stock.

We've also updated our Calendar today and there's always more to come! Meanwhile, please support our efforts...
