This must be a labor of love. We let the old year expire naturally but we began the new one today with just a cappuccino and a few minutes of the Rose Parade to awaken our senses before archiving the last number of Volume 4 of our Archive. Then we relaxed a bit by updating our traditional first story of the year.

THE EDITORIAL MIX of Volume 4 Number 12 followed the usual pattern with 10 Features, 21 commented news items, 25 Editor's Notes (including at least 92 items of interest in our Around the Horn articles), four reviews and two Site Notes.

Due to the weekend holiday schedule this year, we unavoidably skipped four regular features, two slide shows and two matinees. Still we managed to publish 62 stories last month.

Readership over the last three months has been skyrocketing. There's no other word for it.

READERSHIP over the last three months has been skyrocketing. There's no other word for it.

In November we were delighted to report we were serving an average of nearly 19,000 pages a day over 1,100 visitors with a month unique sites count of 9,580.

In December we served 28,718 pages a day to 1,180 visitors with a monthly unique sites count of 11,201. That's nearly a million pages a month now, a bit more than 10 times what we'd been doing.

We were happy to see that on our own site stories that used to get a handful of hits at the last place we worked got hundreds from Day One here. But now they're hitting 5,000.

Like we said, skyrocketing.

WE WANT TO THANK those of you who use our affiliate links to order. We earn a commission from that, which is plowed right back into Photo Corners. That and your subscriptions support our efforts here.

We don't badger you with requests for support because we don't like being badgered ourselves. And these days everybody is badgering everybody else.

We trust that if we've provided a useful service to you, you'll find a way to express your appreciation. Our support page describes a variety of them.

AS WE SAID a year ago, no one knows what the future will bring. And that's the fun of it. We plan to be part of it and invite you to come along for the ride. You're always welcomed at Photo Corners. It's a labor of love, after all.
