Canon Posts Pro-1000 Service Notice

According to a service notice, Canon has found some of its new imagePrograf Pro-1000 printers are leaking ink. "In rare instances," the notice explains, "ink may leak from inside the printer to the outside of the printer through an opening on the bottom."
The serial number of affected units, which can be found on the back of the printer, begins with AEGL.
Canon promised to exchange those printers with a new unit when they become available at the end of the month. Contact Canon Customer Support Center at 1-800-423-2366 for more information.
