In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at copyright small claims legislation, adding keywords in Lightroom, a panorama that breaks the rules and a printer give-away.

  • Several visual artist groups have joined forces and published a white paper to propose key components of potentially forthcoming copyright small claims legislation. The groups arguing for the creation of a small claims option for copyright violations include American Photographic Artists, American Society of Media Photographers, Digital Media Licensing Association, Graphic Artists Guild, National Press Photographers Association, North American Nature Photography Association and Professional Photographers of America.
  • Adobe's Benjamin Warde strikes again with his fifth one-minute Lightroom Coffee Break video. In Adding Keywords with Less Hassle, he explains how to easily add keywords the easy way:
  • In Eye of the Cave Panorama, Harold Davis breaks a couple of rules. He didn't swivel around the nodal point and he varied the exposure for each shot. Then he processed the 14 shots in ACR and Photoshop.
  • DNP is giving away one of its DS620A dye-sub printers each day of WPPI 2016. Visit the DNP booth #931 to enter to win. Attendees also have the chance to win a Fitbit Charge HR wireless heart rate activity wristband by filling out a brief survey at the booth. Winners will be announced each day of the expo on March 7-8 at 3:00 pm and March 9 at 2:00 pm at the DNP booth.

We've also updated our Calendar today and there's always more to come! Meanwhile, please support our efforts...
