Phase One Updates XF Firmware, Capture One Pro

Phase One has announced its second firmware update for its XF Camera System and an update to Capture One Pro, its image editing software.
FIRMWARE UPDATE
The firmware update, which the company calls XF Camera System Update #2, adds two Blue Ring lenses, a Focus Stack tool, a Time-Lapse tool, ann HDR Sequence tool and a Self-Timer Delay. It also includes a HoneyBee autofocus update and OneTouch user interface improvements.
The two new lenses include a Schneider Kreuznach 110mm LS f2.8 and a Schneider Kreuznach 240mm LS f4.5.
The free firmware update can be downloaded from Phase One.
SOFTWARE UPDATE
New features in Capture One Pro 9.1 focus on the fashion and still life fields, the company said, "with special attention to the demands of fast-paced work environments."
Improvements were made to the "Copy from last" command, rotatable Live View and shortcuts. New image editing tools include a new Skin Tone Uniformity tool and new Color Editor tools. Asset management tools get export/output keyword restrictions and sequence tool management for the XF firmware update.
"Capture One Pro 9.1 is about quality of life improvements for working photographers," said James Johnson, Phase One software product manager. "We've been listening to our core user base and made some valuable additions to the application, designed ultimately to help with efficiency. In the ever increasingly competitive marketplace, production value is all about better workflow and less work."
Capture One 9.1 is free for existing Capture One 9 customers. A new license is $299/€279. Upgrades from Capture One Pro 7 or 8 are $99/€99. Capture One is also available by subscription for $12 or €15 per month for a 12-month plan.

The new lenses feature a metal focusing ring and AF/MF selector ring of precision milled aluminum, as well as a metal lens hood with anti-skid rubber edging.
