DNP Introduces Perforated Media for DS620A, DS40 and RX1 Photo Printers
CONCORD, N.C. -- DNP Imagingcomm America Corp. has announced the introduction of new perforated media options for its DS620A, DS40 and RX1 professional dye-sublimation photo printers. Ideal for photo booths and other photo novelty operations, DNP's new perforated media allows for multiple photo size selections at a significantly increased output rate.
The new perforated media is a special derivative of the standard 6"x8" photo paper that features a 2" laser-snap double perforation and is available for the DS620A, DS40 and RX1 printer models. A new 4"x6" media derivative with a 2" single perforation is also available for the DS40 printer.
The 6"x8" double perforated media allows for snap-off photo strips as well as the ability to attach "call to action" items such as vouchers, coupons, logos and other promotional materials. The 4"x6" media for the DS40 features a perforation along the right side of the media sheet that offers the ability to create 4"x4" square prints with an additional 2"x2" perforated area that can be easily snapped off. This area can be used for photos, "call to action" items or plain text.
No special print drivers or firmware are necessary, as DNP printers will recognize the new media as a standard media sheet. However, print templates are user-defined and all designs should accommodate the perforation area.
"Prints are a useful tool for the modern photographer to showcase their talents to potential clients," said Katsuyuki Oshima, President of DNP Imagingcomm America Corp. "The new perforated media options allow photographers to have complete control over their branded prints, whether that be a special message, coupon or even a wedding favor."
