In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at the Hasselblad H6D, packing for planes, macro with rings and Phil Collins remastered.
- In Announcing the Hasselblad H6D, in 50 and 100-Mp flavors, Ming Thein includes "a little analysis of the state of medium format at the moment" with his look at yesterday's Hasselblad announcement. "Hasselblad has fired a shot that shows they're firmly back in the game," he concludes.
- In Packing Photography Gear for International (or Domestic) Travel, Zach Sutton reveals his scheme for getting his still and video gear to "the Philippines to work with non profit orphanages."
- In High-Magnification Macro Photography with the 24mm f1.4 Art, Robert O'Toole reverses the wide angle lens for "sharp detailed images at 5X or five times life-size." We very much like Using A Reversing Ring ourselves.
- After remastering six of his albums, Phil Collins reshot the album covers, too.
More to come! Meanwhile, please support our efforts...
