Imagely Fund Offers $5,000 Photography Grant

Imagely has announced a $5,000 grant "to focus on an environmental or humanitarian photography project." Applications will be accepted through June 15.
"Upfront funding for photography projects is hard to come by these days," said Erick Danzer, founder and CEO of Imagely. "The Imagely Fund is an effort to encourage more coverage of environmental and humanitarian issues and to inspire photographers doing this meaningful work."
The Imagely Fund winner is selected by a panel of environmental, humanitarian and cultural photographers. Past judges have included Jim Brandenburg, Steve McCurry, Michael "Nick" Nichols, Steve Winter and Art Wolfe. The grantee will be announced in August.
Applicants should submit a one-page project statement and bio, along with a link to a coherent, themed, online portfolio of 10-15 images via the online form by June 15.

BOULDER, Colo. -- The Imagely team is excited to extend the deadline for the Imagely Fund competition. The grant will be open to applicants through June 15.
We believe in the power of great photography to positively impact the world and we are honored to help talented photographers cover important topics. The Imagely Fund offers a $5,000 grant to one photographer each year to focus on an environmental or humanitarian photography project. At the completion of the project, the grant winner's images will be displayed as a photo essay on the Imagely blog.
Formerly known as the Photocrati Fund, the grant is entering the sixth grant cycle. The Imagely Fund winner is selected by a prestigious panel of some of the world's best-known environmental, humanitarian and cultural photographers. Past judges have included Jim Brandenburg, Steve McCurry, Michael "Nick" Nichols, Steve Winter and Art Wolfe. The grantee will be announced in August.
