Epson Announces Fast Print Scanner For Home

Epson has introduced the FastFoto FF-640, a high-speed duplex print scanner with software to restore, organize and share its scans. Much faster than a flatbed scanner and safer than sending your irreplaceable images to a third-party service, the FastFoto promises to make shoebox collections a thing of the past.

We had a chance to see it in action a few days ago and the results were impressive for two reasons. Not only did the FastFoto zip through a stack of 30 photos, scanning both sides (to capture any identifying information on the back), but it organized them and immediately shared them via a variety social media and cloud services.
All you have to do as an operator is load a set of prints, type in a dated slug to identify them as a group and you're done with that set.
