Adobe has launched a public beta of its Stock Contribute Site, a new platform for selling photos, illustrations, videos and other creative work. At the same time, the company released updates to Lightroom CC 2015.7 and Lightroom 6.7 to publish to the site, as well as an update to Adobe Camera Raw 9.7.

STOCK CONTRIBUTE SITE

The Stock Contribute Site provides a marketplace for you to sell your work to millions of buyers, Adobe said in introducing the new service.

During the public beta, which began today, you can upload images directly from the new versions of Lightroom and Bridge CC released today. Not all features are active in the beta yet but auto-keywording is.

Auto-keywording leverages innovative machine learning technology to automatically generate the first five keywords of each image you submit. When you upload an image, Adobe's algorithm analyze it, generating keywords from top images similar to yours. Those keywords are reordered by relevancy and displayed for you to review, edit and reorder.

Requirements

To contribute you must have an Adobe ID (but you don't need to be a Creative Cloud subscriber) and you must be at least 18 years old and the sole owner of every file you upload for sale. If your content contains recognizable persons or private property, you also need to attach a signed release, Adobe said.

Images should be uploaded as JPEGs only with a minimum resolution of 4 megapixels and a maximum of 68 megapixels with a maximum file size of 30 megabytes.

Licenses

Standard, Enhanced and Extended licenses are offered to buyers.

The Standard license grants rights for up to 500,000 print runs with no expiration date and images can be used online, in press releases or as magazine editorial, print advertising, slide shows for broadcast or presentation and decorative use including framed images for personal use.

Enhanced licenses remove the 500,000 copy restriction.

Extended Licenses provide unlimited impressions/print runs and the ability to create products like coffee mugs and T-shirts for resale.

See Adobe Stock license information for complete details.

Payment

When someone purchases your content, you earn a 33 percent commission for photos and vector art and a 35 percent commission for videos based on the price of the asset. Payment is made via Paypal or Skrill when you have reached at least $50/€50 in royalties.

See the Contributor FAQ and the Stock Contributor Help page for more information.
