In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Portrait Mode in the iPhone 7 Plus, photos in iOS Messsages, ICC profiles on the Web and Flickr's Marketplace shutdown.
- Matthew Panzarino goes Hands on with the iPhone 7 Plus' crazy new Portrait mode. There are issues, which he points out, but it's not bad for a beta release.
- In A guide to the slick things you can do with Apple's overhauled messaging app, David Pogue explains how to send, edit and draw on photos you send with the new iOS Messages app.
- In Web Browsers Color Management, Arnaud Frich explains how the game has changed this month with ICC profiles now supported in Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox. Lloyd Chambers has a three-image test that demonstrates the feature in operation.
- Flickr is shutting down Marketplace, its licensing program, over the next few months, according to an email sent to Marketplace users. "It was our hope to create the right Marketplace for our contributors, but based on consistent feedback, we understand there is more work to be done," the email said.
